THe Madison Thespian Podcast Project

The Madison Thespians (Drama Club) are, to our knowledge, the only school podcast that adapts professional stage scripts to the audio podcast format. In the summer of 2022, we recorded the second season of our drama podcast as the culmination of a three week summer drama workshop.

Season 2 of the Madison Thespian Podcast Project will be available soon online.

It was made possible by a generous grant from the Middletown Community Foundation.

Help Desk

by Don Zolidis

When you call the help desk, you're looking for a solution - but your problems might just be beginning. Whether you're getting shamed about your inability to log in, giving your credit card information to a scammer, or having serious conversations with a clown, customer service calls spiral into absurdity for the customers and employees alike in this hilarious comedy.

Why podcasts?

  • To allow actors and directors more time to focus on script analysis, character study and acting choices - things that often get lost in a regular stage production, when they are also working on blocking, memorization, choreography, costumes, makeup sets ...

  • To give students with busy schedules a chance to do a show with a short time commitment (we put together our first podcast in only three days, over a long weekend).

  • To give novice actors a chance to have a full acting experience with less pressure, and so get more students involved.

  • To share our students' talents with a world-wide audience.
